Hard water does more than leave spots on dishes — it silently damages plumbing, reduces appliance efficiency, increases energy costs, and creates constant buildup throughout the home. Over time, those minerals can shorten the life of water heaters, dishwashers, washing machines, fixtures, and pipes while forcing soaps and detergents to work twice as hard.
Since 1984, Alford Water Conditioning has helped families and businesses solve hard water problems with dependable, high-efficiency water softening systems designed specifically for Texas water conditions. Our systems are engineered to reduce scale buildup, improve water quality throughout the home, and operate efficiently with lower salt and water consumption.
Every system is backed by a 5-year limited warranty and professionally sized to match your household water usage and water chemistry — because no two water supplies are exactly alike.
Benefits of soft water
-
Protect Your Plumbing & Appliances — Hard water minerals create scale buildup inside pipes, fixtures, and appliances. Soft water helps reduce scale and extends the lifespan of water heaters, dishwashers, washing machines, ice makers, and plumbing systems.
-
Lower Energy Costs — Scale buildup inside water heaters acts like insulation around heating elements, forcing equipment to work harder. Soft water improves heating efficiency and can reduce energy consumption over time.
-
Cleaner Bathrooms & Kitchens — Reduce stubborn mineral spots, soap scum, and hard-water staining on showers, sinks, faucets, tile, and glass surfaces. Less buildup means less scrubbing and fewer harsh cleaning chemicals.
-
Softer Skin, Hair & Laundry — Soft water helps soaps rinse cleaner and prevents mineral residue that can leave skin feeling dry and hair looking dull. Clothes stay softer, brighter, and last longer after repeated washing.
-
Use Less Soap & Detergent — Because soft water allows soaps and detergents to lather properly, many homeowners notice a reduction in soap, shampoo, detergent, and cleaning product usage.
Our process
Every installation starts with a complete on-site water evaluation. An Alford Water Conditioning representative tests for hardness, iron, pH, TDS, nitrates, and other water quality concerns when needed.
Based on your results, we recommend the properly sized system for your home, family size, and water demand. Most whole-home softener systems require approximately a 3′ × 4′ installation space near the main water entry point.
Our professional installation team ensures the system is installed correctly, programmed properly, and operating at peak efficiency from day one.
Ongoing service
We do not disappear after the installation. Alford Water Conditioning provides continued support including scheduled salt delivery, system inspections, maintenance and service, equipment adjustments, and performance checks.
Our goal is long-term reliability and consistent water quality — not just a one-time install.
